Dufferin Islands
If picnicking, hiking and fishing are more your style, then the Dufferin Islands are perfect for you. With ten acres of parkland, Dufferin Islands are a rare and natural paradise amidst a bustling city. Located just above the Falls, this naturalized area contains many fish species, bird feeding stations, bird boxes, as well as indigenous vegetation appropriate for its natural environment. All you fishermen, be sure to bring your fishing pole, but don't forget there's a "catch and release" program in effect for this beautiful island.

Whirlpool Aero Car

Niagara Falls Botanical Gardens
Stroll down winding footpaths through 40 hectares (99 acres) of beautifully manicured gardens. This spectacular botanical garden features a world-famous rose garden with over 2,400 varieties, as well as perennials, rhododendrons, azaleas, herb and vegetable plantings. Guests can ride on a horse and carriage viewing an outstanding collection of ornamental trees, shrubs, and a formal parterre garden. Niagara Glen Pavilion
Designated as a Nature Reserve, this spectacularly deep gorge is truly a hiker's dream. Travel down steep rugged terrain to the unique counter-clockwise rush of the whirlpool below. Hikers will enjoy 4 km (2.5 mi) trails of wild flora and fauna (plants and animals) – and they'll view the magnificent beauty of the Carolinian Forest and follow the Niagara River as it slowly erodes its way through the Niagara Escarpment.

Queen Victoria Park
While in Niagara Falls don't forget to enjoy a casual stroll through Queen Victoria Park. Bounded by the Niagara escarpment and the Niagara River, Queen Victoria Park is truly beautiful to behold. With a unique collection of native and international plant life, a substantial rock garden, as well as a wondrous Hybrid T Rose garden and two gorgeous carpet-bedding sections, this park will be a favourite for anyone with a green thumb. White Water Walk
Discover some of the wildest stretches of white water rapids that exist today. Downstream from the falls, in a gorge deeply cut by millions of years of rapid waters lays a true gem. You'll stroll beside some of the most incredible whitewaters and marvel at the sheer force as trillions of gallons pass through this deep and narrow passageway. It's so breathtakingly special to behold.
